Found a sheet of what appears to be Depron, laminated on each side with hard clear plastic, in the dumpster.
Built a...

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

It's called Murphy's Law. No matter how well you fly, you will always manage to hit the lone(tree, pole, car, piece of pavement, etc) that exists in a 5 mile radius. LOL

My best...

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Nicely done coolbean, kinda looks like a Stryker.

Tip on CA hinges I picked up, works well. Draw a line on your hinge point, with a crayon, on both sides of the hinge. The wax slows down the CA...

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Yeah I ran into the same problem. I used 2 1320 packs parallel wired to help with the CG, until I used the 3100 pack. I really doubt adding nose weight is going to affect the performance that much....

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Ok some notes. The servos are just hot glued into place, the Rx is stuck in place with a little velcro( remove the tissue coating from the fanfold) so you get a better stick. Esc is hot glued in...

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Ok time to cut the LE's into the wing. I simply drew a line 1/4" in from the LE on the top and bottom halfs. Then used an exacto knife to cut from the line to the center of the LE tip, on both sides....

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Well that's the wing, really hard wasn't it. LOL
Time to build the Coffin. Starting at the "head" of the coffin, it's 3" wide, and spreads out to 8" wide, approx 5 1/4" down from the top. Then...

RE: Fun with Flat Foam

Da Flying Coffin build.
Basicly you will need 2 sheets of fan fold to build this puppy. I pretty much winged it on this build so I'll take measurements as I go, if you have any questions or if...
