I've been looking into the resins and think I'll go for polycrylic on glass cloth. What can I do to ensure I don't get problems with this warping the foam wings (And fuselage?!) as it dries? thanks!

The main thing I'm after is to try and form a hard skin on the surface of the foam. I fly a lot over tall grass/corn and on my stock gws spitfire, the leading edges of the wings espeicially are...

Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated.

What problems did the polycrylic on foam give in terms of durability? i.e did it just add no strength or did it cause problems with cracking/chipping?...

By nice finish I mean smooth and possibly gloss painted.

I have a GWS spitfire that went together ok, but it doesn't exactly look very pretty, the foam molding isn't perfect so there are a few...
