The hinge pins that...

RE: JT Racing MT2

I should mention that the holes for the hinge pins were a little tight and needed some filing to fit properly. I use the optional hinge pins and not the factory screws, the screws fit fine but the...

RE: JT Racing MT2

For the body mounting none of my stock towers have provisions to mount the posts to the towers. When I received the truck the post were mounted to the bottom of the tower and that is the way that I...

RE: JT Racing MT2

By extras thickness do you mean the width between the double ended arrows? From about the double ended arrow down the tower is sandwiched between the diff case halves and can not be any thicker. The...

RE: JT Racing MT2

You are probably right about the taller towers. It was just a thought like I said. Maxx shocks can be used we just don't get the full travel of the shock with the JT towers or the stock towers.

RE: JT Racing MT2

I finally got my computer working again.

The part looks great so far and it definitely looks allot stronger than the JT one.
The JT tower does fit fairly snug on the diff case.

What about...

RE: JT Racing MT2

Design looks good so far.
I will send the broken tower monday morning.

Are you going to be able to anodize the parts? If so the same color as the part I send will be fine.

I had some computer issues I won't be able to send the parts until monday morning it's to late to get to the office today.
The shipping office that I use calculates what is cheapest and fastest.

I have both pieces of the JT tower that snapped on me and it is a relatively clean break. I am willing to send it to you if it will help.
PM me your address and I will send it this weekend.

RE: JT Racing MT2

JT has been making and selling alot of truggy conversion kits lately. Alot of the truggy theads mention using JT parts.
I am pretty sure that they don't sell alot of kits for the CEN and are not...

RE: JT Racing MT2

That is good news. Hopefully they have improved the design.

The tower braces that you are using, are they carbon fiber rods?
Have you thought about running a piece of aluminum down the sides...

RE: JT Racing MT2

I could live without the center hole and the lightening cuts also and it would make the design and the machining allot simpler and the part stronger. If I need a hole I can drill one.
I have been...

RE: JT Racing MT2

If JT isn't going to offer a stronger design I'm not that interested in them either. I would end up shelving them and using the stock towers.

A smaller hole will be fine and I think that the...

RE: JT Racing MT2

Yes I would like a pair depending on price. If they want what you can have them made for then no, I would rather wait and see what you can get them for after you do the design work. From the sounds...

RE: JT Racing MT2

Even if you could order and sell the 5 sets I'm afraid the price would still be to high.
I only paid 55.00 US (of ebay) for my chassis. Just to save the money I would suggest finding the aluminum...

RE: JT Racing MT2

I probably recieved a faulty shock tower but it really doesn't bother me that much because I got my chassis off of Ebay for 50$ and the actual chassis and braces are the important pieces.
I will...
