I'm very sorry for your loss. I lost a GP Giant Aeromaster when the elevator servo plug backed out of my Electro Dynamics EDR-111 Power Bus Pro....had it ~ 30 feet off the deck and she snapped in.

The fuel tank of a gasser requires a vent line because otherwise the gas engine's carburetor would create a vacuum as it drew the fuel out of the tank...the gasoline engine's carburetor...

The "best" option is in the eye of the beholder. I used the method laid out in the instructions. I am quite happy with the results.
