i know alot of people were using them on the chinn yak profile from extreme flight, seemed to work well on that plane, which has a 50 2 stroke or a 82 4 stroke, to give an idea of size

that is a field i only go to once in a great while, i fly mainly at a regular site with paved runway, bathroom, soda machine, pavilians, all the good stuff, i went there cause my field was closed to...

i do remember when the first karbonite final gears came out, they were all hyped and supposed to be great, i broke two of them very easy, i bumped the ele on my old funtana and it broke a tooth out,...

the last hitech servos i bought were 7985's, the box says 3 metal gears and a karbonite gear, so i dont believe there is any plastic involved at all

mine are hands off inverted too, i get better flat spins that way, slightly nose heavy will still get inverted spins with enough throw and some throttle, but upright seems to me, needs to be neautral...

along with prop choice, generally, a bigger diameter and a smaller pitch is best for 3d, gives more thrust and less top end speed, instead of a 14-8, try a 15-6, even for bigger motors, try a 23-8...
