So you are worrying about the loss of lift due to elevons on takeoff?????????????????

Well apply UP elevator and you get a down force at the tail anyway.

FWIT, here is how I cooled the ESC without letting air or water inside.
It is a 30x30x6 mm 5 volt cooling fan plugged into a spare Rx socket (find them on Ebay)

Loch Insh is just south of Aviemore, and the Highland Splashin is on September 10/11

I did not realise that Falcon Aviation could laser cut a Northstar kit.

Actually that photo in post #320 is of a 200% Northstar built in Northern Ireland by Ian Robb and photographed here on a visit to Scotland (Kilbirnie Loch) in 1996.
It was powered by a 45 cc...
