RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I'd be surprised if it's getting much over 40mph as my stock Stryker did about 45 and my Cessna looks slower than that. If you can post a video of a flyby by your Cessna then I'll doppler off the...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

You should be able to draw 26 amps constant from your 1300mah batteries which is plenty enough. Are you charging with a balance charger?

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Strike what I said above! I measured the 2408-21 on an 8x4 APCe running off a 2200mah 15C 3 cell lipo and it was 185 watts at 17 amps. That's quite impressive from a cheap motor!
The 2409-12 on an...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I think its 7. My esc's have only 2 settings which are hard or soft. Hard is the setting for outrunners.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I have a Hi-model 18amp esc which can do bursts of 22amps. Swinging an 8x4 it is probably touching 12 amps max. Your 30 amp esc should be well within limits. Have you set it up correctly for the...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Cad, use an 8x4 with the 2408-21 as the 8x6 is too much. An 8x6 is great on the 2409-12 but sucks the amps. The Stryker boys over on the 'Dark side...' thread are the real experts on these motors and...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Also, if you want extreme power in your Cessna on a budget then fit the BP2409-12 with an an 8x6 APC and have a*****g speed and vertical. This set-up draws close to 30 amps and don't be surprised if...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

It's not pretty I'm afraid! All I did was enlarge the forward area of the battery space by about an inch and then cut off the original hatch cover. Cut a new one out of lexan and taped it on one edge...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Flight times are over 20 minutes, in-fact I've never reached the low voltage cut-of level as I give up before the battery does. Bought the 2200mah 15C batteries from Ebay for about £20 delivered and...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

After reading all the helpfull posts in this thread I too have modified my Cessna with the BP21, 20 amp ESC, 8x4 APC prop and 2200mah LiPo's and this has become my most fun plane to fly. I have...
