Years ago it took me a while to understand that this "Red Devil", which was kitted by KDH in germany obviously is a "Blue Angel" knock-off... maybe the dark sided character of Yoshioka´s bird?...

Since you bought your Blue Angel stuff in Copenhagen, it may be very likely that it was a Sonex tuned pipe.

The conical end piece with the little bit recessed exhaust pipe is machined from bar...

Here is another Blue Angel knockoff, I would say. The plane is called ironically "Red Devil", and was sold by KDH Modellbau in germany.

I bought this .60 size kit about 6 years ago from a hobby...

.... my Blue Angel kit then seems to be the early one, too - it always made me wonder that the carton box had 2 different airplanes pictured on its top lid, the Blue Angel and the Fuji.

My 61RF-P runs with 19" distance from exhaust port to baffle plate, APC 12x8 and about 11.000rpm on ground (we do mostly measure from exhaust port)
If you calculate glow plug to baffle, add 1",...

....18 inches from glow plug to first baffle plate inside the tuned pipe.... just insert a wood stick into the tuned pipe as far as you can go - you will hit the first baffle plate then. Add that...

I am using tie wraps for years on my pattern planes - never had a problem. Also I do secure full size resonant pipe by tie wraps.
There are too cheap tie wraps available, which are kind of brittle,...
