RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Thanks RCBarta, true about the landing hehe, that crosswind was heavy...

I would try a Turnigy 35-36C (Gold Series)or SK 35-42
35-42 SK

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Here is a video of my T-28 with the Turnigy SK 35-42 motor. Nice vertical even though the video is only with a 20C 3S. I wanted to test the 30C in the vid but it started raining. The 30C was...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Expo basically just kind of softens up the middle of the stick range for you. Some people like it a bit more mushy in the middle, others don't. I like to fly with about 20% Expo myself.

And,...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I will probably go for the airframe only, then just put HC motor/ESC/Servos in it. It will cost the same as the PNP but be SCREAMIN' fast. Something like a SK35-42 motor and a couple 30C lipos and...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I would check all the screws in your mount/firewall and try a new prop. Is it louder than when you first got it?

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Just got back, put three batteries through it and it went well. Takes some getting used to though, I am used to the beat up old T-28 I had before. The big difference for me was the elevator was WAY...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

If this is your first plane, you should use lower rates than 100%. I found the following rates helpful in the beginning:
60-70% on Ail, Rudd, Elev, and 30% Expo on all. This will forgive you...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Thanks Rc! Nice to know about the 2200's, looks like mine are about right on par I guess.
The only thing I changed was the rudder for Knife Edge flights, it is on the innermost hole. Someone on...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

Hey Maxx, thanks! Yeah, I can't believe it. It wont let me swap the tone out with one of theirs either. Kind of annoying. Somehow I don't think Van Halen would complain lol.
I time the...

RE: Parkzone North American T-28 Trojan

I got my T-28, DX6i, and charger yesterday. The charger arrived broken, so I ended up using the super cub charger for the 2200 batteries and it charged them in 30 minutes each (1.3A 3s charger) oO. ...
