RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Guys,
How do I remove the rudder from the SV27?
I removed the three set screws but I can't figure out how to remove the metal rod that the rudder and the control arm mount to?
What's the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I am using the 440/3 prop.
I am also using LiPo's. At WOT, only 1/3 (or less) of the hull is in the water. In fact, the last time I ran, I was doing a nice prop dance (when only the prop is in...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thanks for the clarification.
I am swapping out the stock motor jacket for the one by OSE.
Between that and the increase in water flow, hopefully I can get my motor temps down.
Thanks.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

So you have no water running through the ESC?
Why can't you just leave the tubing as it is and use the new water pickup?
Thanks.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

For you guys that added an external water pickup (instead of using the stock rudder water pickup), did you have any problems with the increase of water flow through the ESC? Also, what did you do to...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement cowl in yellow? Tower only has them in white. I lost that the first week I had the boat. [>:]
Also, now that I am using hatch tape, when I...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yea, well, I was just trying to throw something out that might help.
I checked the Blade CP manual and other than mentioning the RF interference problem, it really didn't give any good ideas...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I just wanted to "throw something out" for the guys having radio glitch problems. Are most of you using 6 or 7 cell packs? The reason I ask is that in my SV, I am running a 2 cell LiPo (7.4v) and...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I guess where I am strugging with all of this is that I am from the RC car world where the RTR craze is going strong there. But, to be honest, RTR really doesn't mean Ready To Run and bash and not...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Hello,
I am going to try that next week. I am waiting for new Nomadio Rx to get delivered. I run my rc cars with the antenna inside the shell and I have no problems with range. I hope it will be...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The Nomadio is a great radio that has a very short antenna on the Rx. I have not set mine up yet but I think you would need to get the antenna out of the radio box. You could run the antenna out...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yes, boat runs great and drive is difficult to turn by hand.
So, no need to turn it by hand!
:D
And yes, this BL and drive line feels much different than a 9XL, but that's OK!
Thanks,
Matt

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Is that 45 amp rating constant or peak for the ESC? I am not sure. And yes, I added a LiPo cut-off. Pretty easy to do.
Thanks,
Matt

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

$109 per pack. I couldn't pass up 8000mah! But you have to also look at discharge rate. A small BL motor in a 1/18th scale car can draw more than 100amps in short bursts. It would be safe to...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Hey Tomi,
You mention that you are charging your cells at a 1C rate. I am assuming that you are at 3.6 amps for your 3600 cells. Why not bump up the charge rate a bit. 5 amps should be fine. ...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

IMHO, the boat is fantastic. I am not sure where you are getting the impression that the boat has a lot of problems. I keep reading this thread and don't see it. A few small problems as mentioned...
