Sorry you're having all those problems with both the ESC and the motor - you DON'T need a fancy, expensive ESC to do the job as long as it's water-cooled and water-proof.

You might want to call Tech Support for wherever you bought it: Horizon Hobby, Tower Hobbies, etc.

It's probably going to be cheaper AND less work to buy a new UPGRADE motor AND ESC than to try...

You can get the following from Kintec Racing.com's listing of bearings, thrust washers, etc. as follows:

Thrust Bearing. For any motor with 5mm shaft. Helps prevent wear on motor bearings....

I use a Duratrax Intellipeak peak charger that can charge TWO 7.2V 6-cell NiMH packs at a time from both AC & DC - it's always a good idea to have at least a second set of battery packs...
