RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

Speaking of "Big Shows", this may be the last time that anyone will have the chance to experience the awe of at least 20 full scale B25's flying together. My wife and I are going...I'll post video...

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

Tom,
Looks like Saturday may be a bit cloudy/rainy... Sunday looks like the pick day of the weekend. I'll bring my B25 and if I can get Clark to bring his, let's practice some formation after the...

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

Narly,
On my TF B25 I've found that 12x8 APC 2 blade props seem to work best up here in Denver on the OS 70 fs II engines (the ones with the black valve covers). The three blade MAS just didn't...

I'm out there on any weekend that's flyable! In fact, I may have mine out there next Sunday if the weather's decent. By the way, how do those Magnum's run? Hopefully they are flawless!

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

Tom,
13x6 MAS 3 blade will work well however, for max pull I'd go with the APC 13x8. If the engines are on the strong side you might try a 14x8 APC. Whatever you use make sure it's painted black...

Tom,

Looks great!! I love the strafer nose! I think every Magnum I've had has similar problems. Glad to see it's not too badly damaged. You need to bring it over to Chatfield and fly with Clark...

Lt.,
I use a Futaba 9c with an XPS 2.4 module. Because the xmitter must be in ppm mode to operate the 2.4 module, I loose the 9th channel...wierd. Here's how I set up my bird:

Joel,
The only thing I did to the covering on the whole model was to seat it (as per instructions) and then sand it a bit for better adhesion and a more variable color pattern. I just panel lined...

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

RE: Top Flite B-25 ARF (Tecnical, tips, suggestions)

ML,
Believe it or not, most of those passes were done at 1/2 throttle or less! I'm using the recommended OS Surpass 70 II's with the MAS 12 x 8 three bladed props. It's not quite as fast as the H9...
