muffler extentions tend to quiet mufflers down alot. I run plastic hose about 8" on a couple of planes to divert oil toward the ground and it quiets the muffler alot.

JTEC says they have a muffler to fit at $50 for the ST3000. Heres the link.

The Macs one piece muffler if you have enough RPM will change tune and seem to get on...

That 10x6 is the perfect prop for a ST 45 and you should get about 12-13,000 RPM. The chamfered end of rod goes to the inside of engine so it doesn't rub the radius of crank pin. Ignore the dimple...

I just put a ST51 in a Sig Citabria 35. Take offs in light wind about 10 feet. This is just the right amount of power. Plane on ground handles sweet - not like anything I read about on web..........

If your fuel nipple is pointed straight at the 3:00PM position it is centered................Carb mounted in engine. Make sure after crash carb is firmly seated on o-ring........

No the muffler won't come apart. The baffle has to be collapsed and pulled out of the stack hole. It is a case where the muffler was built around the baffle.

Wulf I know your high up above sea level and all . But your 15% nitro is a problem on ST's. They will run but not the greatest. Drop down to 10% and check your HS needle. If it is the non wire type...

NO Dry sump implies the oil is pumped out and scanvenged . These 2 strokes are simply sealed crankcase induction engines.

You know You would think the Pitts muffler manufactures would use 2 smaller diameter outlet pipes so one doesn't have to be pinched off. I think Davis and JTEC make a 1 tube outlet mufflers....

XJET The dirty little secret is that ST90 was probably just afew clicks off or 1/8 turn off on low speed needle. The other secret is a Tigre will run lean when other engines won't. All ST's are set...

Hi WARHWK I know you said your engine was 1990 and you had original instructions. Another poster asked when ST quit making them. There has been known to be misprints in manufactures instructions....
