I have an EME-55 with electric starter in my FW-190. I am more happy with this engine than DL and DLE.. With the starter system i have remove the preinstalled weights and the plane balance perfectly....

All the gears goes through a Central unit. When the gear meets resistance the central unit will cut the power to the electric actuator. Therefore, never Connect battery directly to actuator.
