I'm not sure why your carb won't fit inside the cowl, I had no problem with mine (kit built) also put together the ARF for a friend. Could you post some pictures?

Yes, I have the G-62 in mine with the Bisson...

Yes, I have the G-62 in mine with the Bisson pitts style muffler, but had to cut a narrow groove in the cowl for the side of the muffler to clear. Don't know if you can see it in the photo......
