I understand that, I was just wondering about a relatively cold break in. What is the reasoning for breaking in the engine on glow fuel first? Because it's a conversion?

Stop buying them......give the ones that you have to a kid or a newcomer. Just because "The Planet" uses OS Engines and has powered their models OR LEARNED TO FLY AN RC AIRPLANE using an OS engine...

I roll up a kitchen size trash bag, rubber band it and tape it to the inside of my plane....saves me a walk back to the truck..... :cool:

Anyone still running the OS 108 FSR or BX-1? I bought a used one that's in real good condition.

Buy a tube of Blue "Hylomar" from the auto parts store and put a tiny bead around the exhaust flange. You really don't need any gasket but I find that a little sealant keeps the joint from weeping...

You've probably got castor build-up on the wrist pin. The small end of the connecting rod has to slide on the wrist pin in the piston over to one side in order for the rod to clear the crank pin.

I wouldn't try it.

If for some reason it went "wonky" it could get ugly real quick. (bent/broken crank,etc.)

Could you just space the entire engine forward from the firewall?
