Just wanted to report that the VF Extra 300 that I helped my buddy put together had it's maiden flight(s) today.....and man, what a plane. That thing streaked thru the sky like it...

Couple of questions for ya'll......

We epoxied the belly pan on my buddy's Extra 300 and noticed a gap between the fuselage and the very front of the pan. I couldn't see any way to avoid it,...

Getting down to the wire on my buddy's Extra 300 but I'm drawing a blank as to how to secure the fuel tank....you would think with as much room as there is that it would be a piece of cake....

The VF Extra 300 I'm helping a friend with is coming along, although slowly. He cut out the canopy and bellypan this past weekend, and played a little with the wheel pants...

Turned out it wasn't as much as I thought initially. It wound up to be a little less than 2mm.

I haven't cut slots for hinges in probably 10 years, but I did the elevators...
