RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

I still have mine, with flying wires and smoke. The Saito 125a just isn't enough power. Considering a 55cc gas engine (ie., DLE 55). What do you think that will be like?

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Wow! Who's plane was that? I think I did the same thing with mine, that is, if you ran out of fuel. The included tank is so small. Is it fixable or totalled? It flew so well!

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Thanks for that. I'll check the DA-50 weight. I already have one brick and it's no fun to repair (bricks don't fly well).

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

OK, so I'll do the DA-50 in it. I'll send pictures. Anyone have some words of wisdom before I do it?
(it was your picture of the DA-50 sitting in the cowl that convinced me) Goodbye Saito 125a.

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

OK, why the DA-50 question? Because the Saito 125a I have in mine is not enough and I love 100LL Avgas' aroma (not that I don't like Glo). AND someone posted a picture of the DA sitting in the...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

A five cylinder gas radial would look and sound great...lots of $$$ ...and too much weight. Is there a single cylinder gas engine that fits in the cowl and provides hovering power? Imagine a big...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Lustercoat (sic) yellow 7804, two to three light coats over white primer worked for me.

I agree with Jerry about the 3D capabilities. I have more than 45 degrees throw on my control surfaces (elev. mods for rudder) and a Saito 125a four stroke on 30% Nitro. It will perform...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

I have a Saito 125A in mine. I added TME smoke which I've got working great so far on the ground. I can put it in my Dodge 1500 RAM van, fully assembled with ease. I put it upside down on a furniture...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Rick
I have that model (Golberg Pitts Monster Model 12) with a Saito 125a engine. It flew only twice so far (yesterday 10/3/06). It needed a lot of up-trim and even though the lateral balance was...
