RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

IdeaBeing is right. The Eratix is a great slow flyer. Unless you reinforce the ailerons, you are looking for trouble with aileron flutters and wing damage at high speed.
It's the closest thing to...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

The Power 32 motor runs around 800 watts, so you have to have a battery that handles that much power. So, if the maximum power that the battery can deliver is 500 watts, then your Power 32 will not...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I fly mine with a 14X7E prop. Lots of power when needed.
I reinforced the landing gear when assembling the Eratix. So far, it has survived a few rough grass landings on windy days.
I just...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Yes, the landing gear area should be reinforced, especially if you fly on windy days (as I do) and can't avoid some of the rough landings. I reglued all the joints as well as I could and glued a...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I use an Eflite Power 32 with a 14 X 7 prop and a 2650mah 4-cell lipo. I can fly around 10 minutes with this set up.
I do fly at 1/2 throttle most of the time. Only time I go higher than that is...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Congratulations on your maiden flight!

The Eratix is my best airplane. Even though I'm not good at hovering, the Eratix makes me look better than I am at it. It does perfect knife edges and I...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I placed the ESC under the battery cage. I carefully cut the covering on the bottom to make access to it and was able to put it back in place neatly. No velcro. I used a plastic tie strip.

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I've been using 4S 3000mah 20C with great results. The ones I use are the Blue-Lipo offered by hobbypartz.com for $29.70.
I fly for 10 minutes and usually restore around 2600 mah back when...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Which timing did you use for the Eflite Power 32?
Low, standard, or high?

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I'm using 4-cell, 3000 mah, 20C battery packs with my Eratix. Plenty of power, unlimited verticals and approximately 12 to 13 minute flights. Cells do not get hot at all.
I do have a couple of...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I have an Eflite 60amp ESC. I don't think the HK programming card will work with that.
I still don't know what you mean about ESC timing. Guess I better read up on it.

How do you change the ESC timing?

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

That's the way to go Eflite Power 32.
I've been flying my Eratix with this motor along with 60 amp ESC using Turnigy 4S 3000 mah 20C packs for some time. It all works great.

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

The Eratix I got a couple of months ago has two magnets holding the canopy down, instead of just one. Great improvement. Nevertheless, I made a small latch out of a clevice to hold down the canopy...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I agree with you. That's the first thing I do when I get a new plane. I reinforce the landing gear area so that it does not snap off on rough landings. On the Eratix, I openned the bottom up to do...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Thanks for the information on the Turnigy motors. I've never had any problems with any of my Eflite motors. I've had problems with bent shafts due some unintended landings, so I had to replace them...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Thanks for the information. I buy often from Horizon Hobby, so I'll include a motor next time I order from them.

I destroyed my Eratix just about when they discontinued it. I looked all over...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Let us know how the Turnigy 3548SK works out for you. Is it equivalent to a Power 25 or a Power 32?

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I use 25C; 2650 mah, 4 cells from Horizon Hobby. They are inexpensive and last around 10 minutes for normal 3D type flying. I also use 2300 mah, 4 cells, and get around 7 minutes with throttle...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

A power 25 using 4-Cell li-po's would do quite well. When I fly my Ultra stick 25e using a Power 25 and 4-cell li-po's it becomes a "mean machine" with lots of power.
However, there is that added...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I placed my ESC under the battery compartment. Also had to remove the covering to place it there, but you can hardly notice it.
I did not have to ad any extensions to the battery wires since I fed...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I've had my Eratix for over a year. Not long ago, I was doing some Hi-Rate fast rolls on a dive and the right aileron servo got stuck. Not knowing what was happening at the time, I tried everything...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

Well, the unexpected happened.

I was showing off doing some HiRate rolls and spins and the right servo got stuck all of a sudden. The Diamante spunned all the way to the ground as I watched,...

RE: E Flite Eratix 3D 25e ARF Owners Club

I experienced some aileron flutter while flying full throttle. I noticed that the wing was not fitting tight enough against the fuselage. I cut out and glued thin pieces of balsa wood on the edge...
