RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

My DA50 came with what looked like motor oil in it when it was new. Maybe lube it up and close the choke butterfly? Bag the whole fuse? Will it be out in the cold?

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Marl, that is a LOT of equipment for this little plane, IMO. I know guys flying 35% aerobats that don't use that much stuff. Hope your putting some power on it. I have stuck to the basics for my...

Ram, I am just getting that you had an accident? Ah man! *&#^! Like I said the cermark gave me trouble and had to be put on slow charge for double what it usually takes. Is the plane ok?

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Did you condition the nimh with a wall wart for 24+ before using the fast charging? I had trouble recently getting full capacity on a cermark 2700 nimh and had to go back on the wall wart. I think...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

THat sounds like a good plan! Get your landings together then go for a better prop. On the BME50 I would use 22-8 3W or MSC, or carbon mejzlik 22-8. I flew my patty all day today and it was GOOOD!!!!...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

The only I read this thread is for the whinning and usless banter! ~)
Bryan, the patty can be a handful. I really put a lot of time into tamming it's less than fun landing quirks. BB, is right. He...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Kevin, have you checked your lateral balance? Trimmed you rudder? I mix a tiny bit of right rudder into high throttle instead of adding more right thrust. JME.

Hardeck, what 23-8 are you...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

FYI, I have the DA50 and one rudder servo in the tail. It balances right on. My test it to fly it inverted and feel how much down elevator it take to keep level, and fly straight and level then chop...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

BasinBumâ„¢ did a great job on his latest PW with the robarts. I will most definatly go with them on my next plane. I had the GP white plastic hinges pull right out of my left aileron. The epoxy let...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Thanks CAptain, I may call them up and get a 22-10 tomorrow. Did you notice it pulled harder than the 22-8? I'd really like to try the 23-8 also. I know that is the prop for the tuned pipe setup.Some...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Yes, I got it from DA. CAptain, so what do you think of the 22-10? Like I said I am running the 22-8 and wonder what a 10 pitch would do. Have you tried both? I have to agree that there is a big...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Captain, how do you like the 22-10 mejzlik? I have put about 20 flights on a 22-8...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

Dennis, that seems to be what my DA does too. I have messed with re-tuning and have gotten a very linear throttle range then added about 10% expo and I love where it is at right now. I flew 6 flights...

RE: GP Patty Wagstaff - Building & Flying

My WM patty did not have the fairings. I bought it second hand. It flew nice with the zenoa G45 but nothing like a DA50 powered GPPW. I can't imagine fairing would make much difference either way...
