RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

It funny, I put a 10X9 on mine yesterday just for s--ts and giggles and whoa, it really woke up. This think is almost as fast as my Cermark F-16 with the big honkin 91 in the nose. I love this plane...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Just remember to get help if you need it. This is a hobby where you can lose a lot of money for being "macho" and quit the sport. If someone will not help you, then kick them in the nuts and ask...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Hmm, I am guessing you have a .40 on it? If so I would run about a 10x7 (someone chime in if I am wrong) and a 10x8 if you are running a .46. That seemed to work well on mine when it had a .46 in the...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Agreed, if you look at earlier posts my buddy bought his as a 2nd plane the same day as I got mine. The first time he went out on his own he made a small pile of F-22 parts out of it. Granted...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I guess I got lucky. Mine has been a real pleasure to fly. I have an OS 55AX and now a pipe on the nose with an 11X8 prop & 30% nitro. Mine is a rocket to say the least. I have noticed that the rates...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I had to put put a 3 stick on squares squares in the nose and move the battery forward to get mine to balance.

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I think so. I bought mine at Hobbytown about 6 months ago. I know you can find them on ebay for about $125 or so.

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Its an older Lanier ARF. It is fast but that is about it. More of a point and shoot prop jet. ;)

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I knew it would not be as fast but being I put both of the together I did not expect there to be as much of a diffenence. On that note I took all of his training stuff off and noticed it flies...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Being a new motor still, I was doing the final breakin (4th tank) "airborne style" with a 12X7. Today I threw an 11X6 on with 30% and let her rip. What a rocket! The only issues I have found is a...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Nothing really to modify. I opted to open up the rear of the cowl vs slicing a slit and working it over the engine, besides that it was straight forward... Also, I moved the engine forward a hair (...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

My official 1st flight(s) report.

Raptor #1: Mine with the "WA" on the tail. Powered by an OS 55AX. I needed zero weight to balance it. I had an 12X7 prop and 15% Cool Power. All I can say is...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I did the same with the flaps and mine came out just a touch tail heavy (must have been the tail flash decals I added).

I also used epoxy which might have added a some of the weight in the back,...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Finished mine today. This thing should be cool. I was looking for a weekend sport plane and I think this might fit the bill. I have the Lanier F-4 but with a OS FX .46 and a pipe, it is more like...
