RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Not always true. If you use a brushless motor you WILL need more down angle, unless you like to only make loops...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Yeah, you need to grind the front bushing off, and drill the holes a little larger.

Dunno about CG but with a mount on the old can, and the regulator in front of firewall, its close enough...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

When using the old can for the motormount, I didn't do anything else than putting the ESC in front of the firewal to equeal balance. Works fine here, BUT.. be sure to point the brushless motor down a...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

I removed my legomount and made a "mouthpiec" mount. Much much better, the shaft is shorter and dont bend as easy, and in case of a crash right on the motor, it's able to glide backwards into the...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Thanks.

Its because I'm thinking about moving from rudder to aileron, but my reciever only has 3 channels (the 4'th channel is fried), and that means I need to tape the rudder in middle position...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

6 minutes is to little with original motor and battery. In no/light wind you should get 10-12 minutes like I did when all was original.
One thing I would recommend is to charge the battery right...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Flight time is about the same as with original motor (max 12-15min), level flight at 1/3 throttle.

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Are you serious ? I have plenty of trust with a 9 x 3.8 slowflyer prop. Do you really think a change of propeller would make a difference ???

BTW. could you repost the video of your cessna...

RE: Art-Tech 3Ch Cessna 182 RC Radio Control Plane

Ohh I forgot...

The motor is a SN-2408-21 (1750 kv) with a 15Amp ESC and a APC 9x3.8 propeller.
Im using the original 8.4V NiMh battery. Flight time is about the same.
