RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Sometime back there was a number of posts, interest and a video on a r/c plane that operates on water or land. At the time the guys said they were only making them for themselves and did not intend...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Thanks for the link. I checked it out and I wonder if the Mini Cam package might be better as it is a CCD rather than cmos. I know it is new and might not have been around when you bought yours, but...

Hi Scott. Sent you a private message, at least I think so.

We are planning to go to Provo for Thanksgiving, but that may change. Give me your Blackfoot number and SLC number so I can call should...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

RC Toys has a great comparison chart of the three current models at:

http://rctoys.com/pdf/draganflyer-comparison-chart.pdf

You will also find the link on their page on the DF.

Should...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Hi... Are you sure about the $50 postage on light weight items? I have had many items shipped from the UK for a flat $3.00 via the postal system. I understand there is some kind of special rate for...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

That idiot had a kit that increased the length of the arms by 50%. They claimed that it would make the DF much more stable. The kit included longer arms and a new harness. Heck, after seeing the...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Hi all... I want to pass along my experiences with buying DF parts from the Australian dealer. They had a part not available direct from DF.

1. The parts arrived 4 weeks after ordering. 2....

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Dramatic improvement! I think you are very close to licking the vibrations problem. Any idea about the shimmy?

Great solution to a problem.

Have you considered offering the silicon arms for sale?

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Here is a picture of a very rough support I made to replace the plastic canopy on the DF. After 3 crashes, I can say it works! I had planned on making a cross support, but using just one works fine....

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Hi Roxy. I have found that the DF is easier to fly if you get it up around 15 feet with the TI enabled. It gives you time to gain control. So far I have had mine up to 30 feet and at distances of 100...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Roxy, I too am a newbee, having mine for about 2 weeks. Of course I have broken blades in trying to learn. Like Polaroid, it is the main way the DF people make their money.

The only suggestion I...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

I bought mine from a member of this forum, so got it in 2 days. When I learn to fly, I intend to fly in the winter as we get very little snow here in SE Idaho.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

WOW! I had no idea of the adjustments you mention on the 6 vs the 4. Looking forward to getting the 6 circuit board. And yes, I had planned to switch cystrals from the 4 to the 6.

Lots of space...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Unfortunately, it is the hitec 4 system. I didn't know that at the time I bought it, wish I had. To find out after the fact was a disappointment.

By pure chance, I also have the hitec 6 I...

Thanks, I will try. You input is most helpful.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Yes I would like it. I use a hitec and hopefully it will work. Other models in FMS do work just fine.
