RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Smooth -As I said on another thread to you Take the sucker back. You have 30 days at Target and 90 at TRU. Don't put up with a defective plane. A significant portion are and the stores have been...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Ya Ferndale - my last Green 06 had the right motor way out of line. That has become the first thing I check on a new plane.

I had three in boxed reserve untill last Wed. and gave one to a...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

More great creativity from Ferndale AF. I went back to stock (more or less) on both my biplanes and monos but like your newest idea. Guess I'll have to buy another AA.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I'd push the Toytronics (see readytoflyfun.com) and their SkySeeker GT or T-Halk. Both excellent trainers. I have the Preditor but it is fast and sporty and you will crash it bad (but all three can...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Slotcar - there is a whole thread on the F16 - I have had it for several months. The short version is that it flys like a dart and land s like a dart. It takes a big flying area and has slow to...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I successfully made the Tx A to B mod and it works great. I was a little worried when the solder drop would'nt stick and then when it fell it looked like it might have touched the C contact - but it...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hay All -I've got a problem I know someone can solve. I have a B Transmitter that just bit it and I don't think will live again. I was wondering if anyone remembered where in this 80 pages the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I actually built (from an Estes kit) the Air Force Black Bird which is a nasty delta. It is fairly heavy and takes a "C" to fly high. The point for this thread though is that since it has wings...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I was about to do it til you mentioned the ejection charge![&o] (As light as the thing is I'd use a 1/2 A if you figure out how to pull it off). I'd glue the motor to the belly of the plane so the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hi Hammer - All the AAs including the "new jet" (as opposed to the old F16) use Lipos so that has not changed. The two planes you saw are 06 models that have just come out in the last month or so....

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

It is interesting tha back in the "old days' - about a month ago it was B channel that everyone was high on as the one with the best responce time. I have all three and have found I like them all (if...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Backyardflyer - You most likly won't find a true backyard flyer like the AA if you are steppng up but a really good plane for easy learning is from Readytoflyfun.com. They have several planes and...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

On the 27 interference thing - had a really odd experience the other day. I was trying to fly a new AA and the motor kept cutting out at about 20 feet from me. i was convinced I had a bad plane...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

r18 - I can hardly believe I actually gave some good (and correct/useful) advise - but I guess we all have at least one good effort in us. Glad it works now.:D

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I think the defender is the same technology as the old F16. It's been around a while and the stick looks the same. Obviously has Nickel batteries like the F16 which also require a double charge for...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hay rc - you been with us on this thread long enough you probably know as much as anyone. First though I'd take the ribbon off and see what happens. You will get quite a bit of drag with it. Another...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I find that the normal charge time is closer to 10 min. I try to not fly my AaAhhs after they start to lag (I only fly them for about 6-8 min per charge). You can damage your battery if you run it...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Ferndales got a point but your problem seems a bit strange in that it flys streight with no turn input but turns sharp one way while barely turns the other. If the trim were off it whould be turning...
