izzy, this is something that happened with a lot of Boomerang kits the booms where not located accurately and needed a bit of packing on the elevator to compensate, you have found the solution.

If you don't have brakes to apply, try putting a bit of fuel tubing on either side of the wheel to provide some friction without causing a lot of drag on landing or the take off roll.

Heat up a bit of piano wire and burn the hole through, make sure you have the piano wire held with something non heat conducting.
