RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Dutch,

I noticed that you are flying with the stock wheels. Go get yourself some super-duper ultra-lite foam wheels. There are a couple of brands out there. Believe it or not they will save...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Flew a couple of flights on the .60 e-Twist this weekend. Did some power on and off landings. Didn't notice a huge difference. It lands very nice both ways. Floats in just like the .40 size. All...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

thebluemax,

I always land with the power off on the electric. I don't think it floats quite as well as it would with a glow plane idling. I suppose it is because there is less airflow over the...

decay,

My charger charges my lipo's exactly full every time. My speed controls warn me when the batteries reach the lowest safe level by slowly shutting down power. When this happens, I get...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I am just trying to stir up a little trouble to keep the thread rolling. Plus, any excuse I can find to give Down a bit of a hard time is a plus. We had a long discussion about glow versus electric...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Bob,

Forget trying to convince these boys that electric is easier, especially in the cold. I have been trying for a long time now, and it just doesn't work.:) I have 3 Twists, a .60 size...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Had a couple of great flights on the .60 sized electric Twist today. Now that I have the CG dialed, she is flying very well. I have settled on a 16x10APC-E prop and I am having great results. Flew...

I have both and think the .40 handles better. Don't have near the as much flight time on the .60 so my opinion may change.

Dorsil,

I use a 13x4 in the warm months, and a 14x4 when it cool down a bit on my .61. I just changed to a 14x4. Downtrodden swears by a Master Airscrew 13x5, but he is crazy.

Orange...

T.W.,

From what I can see in the picture, that is just normal wear. I looked at mine, and it looks the same. I think the t-nuts take the sharp edge off of the threads. I keep a couple extra's...

jwk72,

The T---t flies much like a the pts mustang. It is a trainer at heart on low rates. There is always a chance that you will put her in on your maiden with limited flight experience, but...
