So does anyone have a short list of hop-ups for the SV27 so a newbie doesn't have to browse thru 3500 posts to get the info./tips that they are looking for?

I think the x645 on a ammo motor would be too big a prop to start out with. I would start out with a x637 or x440 and work up from there. Watch your ESC, Battery and Motor temps.
