RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

I wish I could go too.
Yes, that RC18t FT kit does look sweet. My son has been bugging me to get the RC18MT (little MGT) to go along side my big one. So far I've been resisting the temptation to...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

It wasn't hit and run by a run away RC truck was it?

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Welcome back Eric.

Chris. The PTI looks good.

If more people buy truggies, they could split the class and you could race in both, so DB would get more money. But the split needs to be...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

That stinks about the Warhead Chris. They advertise that thing as having all those adjustments for racing then say it isn't? What's up with that.
That LST2 does look awesome. I don't see how...

(Drying my eyes)
Sandor, you're going to have to delete those pictures. That is heart breaking to see it like that.

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Man, I got all the way home, unloaded and realized I left the close pin (frequency clip) on my radio. I'll have to call them tomorrow to let them know.

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Actually I think it did more than just the arm, but I'm sure Sandor can fill in the details.

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Ya his LST2 slammed into the track side wall and broke a lower control arm. :(
Are personal transponders more reliable than the house transponders [>:]? I though for sure I won the race and so did...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

I got the MGT all ready for tomorrow. I may have to mess with the shift points though. It is hard to tell if it is right when your driving on a slippery road.

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

For those of you that use house transponders, did you make a mount for it or just clip it to the body somewhere? I was thinking about making a mount out of some scrap lexan I have.

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

I bet. I saw a video of a mini-t with a brushless set up. It was unbelieveable. That thing could pull the front wheels at any speed. The guy did a donut with it and it was just a blur as it spun...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

I finally got my FOC for the MGT today. I almost got the truck back together. That removed 1/2 pound from the trans :D
I'm going to try to make it out Sunday for racing. I'll need you guys to...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Hobby Town in GB has always been helpful for me also. I had to buy a longer glow plug ignitor because the .28 head is too big for my old one to work. I still have a $20 gift certificate left over...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

I got the MGT broke in. It accelerates a lot better than the TC and is way faster, not that the TC was anything to brag about. This engine is pretty easy to tune. I trimmed 2 ounces off by cutting...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

So far all the screws that go into metal have loctite on them already. The diffs have grease in them, but it is thick grease like you would use on wheel bearings for a full size car. The manual...

RE: Dirt Burner Racing Race #1 Monster Truck

Ya, they are standard CFs. I'm going to mount them on some RPM titans. I also got a Hitec 5645 digital servo for the steering, a 49 tooth and 46 tooth spur gear to test the gear ratios, some spare...
