yup, a 400 should push that critter just fine but 3S will burn it up. Too high of voltage for any of those little motors. It's like using a 6v light bulb on a 12v battery. It will shine real bright...

andrew, the SU-27XXL! A most excellent stable flyer! I had one and it flew very well. I am gearing up to make a 125% version within the next week or so.

I agree with Pecan and Kevin. The vertical fins should be right in line with the airflow across them. If they are not, you have very effective brakes.

I cut my 4540 prop down to 4" (4040) and my amps dropped from 27A to 19A. The motor is a United Hobby special, inrunner 29000kv.
