RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I tape the hatch down which includes the antenna hole. Depending how long the boat is upside down, I, too, get about the same amount of water in. Could also be coming in where the water cooling tube...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

After a few cylces through them, the 7 cell packs have become even bigger monsters. The boat is pretty much useless at full throttle in anything other than perfectly calm water. Throttle managment is...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yup, it's nuts, but hey, I bought a SV27, not a Villian. ;)

Kinda funny, I can be crusing along at what would be top speed of the Traxxas Villian, pin it WOT and stand the boat straight up out...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

She's REDICULOUSLY fast. Had her out today on the big lake by my house. It's been windy today, so there was some good chop on the lake. WOW, does this thing sing on choppy water! Noticeably faster...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

OSE water jacket is already on. Since I had planned on going with a transom mounted water pickup, I decided on the OSE jacket, too, to help deter water leaks due to higher water cooling pressure the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Yes, those temps are with 14 cells. I am waiting for OSE to get the adjustable trim tabs in. Once I get my hands on a pair, I will be able to fine tune her better. Also keep in mind that was after an...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Love them. My SV feels like a turd on IB4200s (12 cells) now after running it on 14 cells!

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Thanks, NitroMedic!

Brought my temp gun to the pond. This is with the OSE water jacket but sill using the rudder water pickup. My boat ONLY cools on right turns. I got nothing coming out of the...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I'm actually at WOT very little. If I do go WOT, it's only for a second or two. Anything more than that, and I run out of room in that pond. Besides, you can see what happens if I go WOT with even...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Normally, the water would have been a tad choppier as my cousin would have had his SV in the water too, but he was on camera duty.

The boat is a handful for sure. If you're a tad too heavy on...

VID IS IN!!!

SV27 on 14 cells and CF48 prop

Again, sorry about the grainy vid, cam used was my tiny 5in1 eDVR.

Couple points of interest...

At 1:30, you can clearly see the boat...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Don't have a GPS. That's my next purchase. Forgot my temp gun at the house, so I have no actual temps, but the batts didn't feel hotter than my cousin's batts and he's running IB3600s (12 cells) and ...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

My 7 cell packs are flat style with the 7th cell laying sideways. I don't see how a hump style will fit. Don't think it's possible to fit the pack between the side of the hull and the radio box....

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Ran the SV on 14 cells and CF48, just got back.

Let me start by saying I'm no stranger to rediculous amounts of power. I have a number of R/C models of all kinds that make way more power than...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Just ordered a pair of 7 cell IB3600 packs for the SV. Should have them by this weekend. We'll see what she can do with the CF48 on 14 cells![X(]:D

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Here's a vid I made today with my SV27 running IB4200s (6 cells) and a CF48 prop. Water conditions were less than ideal.
