RE: Mini Ultra Stick

I've never been a fan of Expo. I use the factory recommended throws and 70% on Low Rate. I suppose that Expo is a good thing if you use max throws for 3D.

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

Don't hand launch it. Set it on the ground pointed into the wind, hold a bit of up elevator and advance the throttle slowly. Be prepared to use the rudder to hold it straight. It will get off the...

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

I already have the MUS and the GWS floats. It's just a matter of mating them up. Not gonna spend $450+ on a whole new rig just to do a little float flying.

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

I looked at the float write up on Horizon's web site and they didn't spec the weight. However I surmise that they weigh around 1.25 - 1.5 lbs. Greg Covey did a write up on the Cub with and...

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

OK, I get it, thanks. I was thinking of making two LG struts out of wire to the same span & height as the MUS strut. Your way involves less hardware and effort. How much incidence did it need...

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

mrdakota says they work on the MUS. Why don't you believe him? ;^)

FWIW, I used those Beaver floats on a GWS Tigermoth 400 which weighed around 28 oz with the floats. The floats were...

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

Cool, those are the floats I have, the ones for the Beaver. How about a pic of your float installation?

RE: Mini Ultra Stick

Hay Guys,

Anyone tried the MUS on floats? I'm thinking of putting my GWS floats on mine and flying it off the local lake. I have the PnP version and there's plenty of power.
