Actually, I didn't get to test anything but an 11/7.5 on the Raptor (wrecked it too soon), but on my PTS Mustang with the OS 55, the 12/6 was better than the 12/8. The 12/8 would bog down a little...

Yes. It goes much better. If you don't have a noise problem at your field, go with a 12/6 airscrew. If you have to hold down the noise, try a 12/8.
