Most automatic transmission fluid on the market today is Both Dexron and Mercon. It is for use in the Chrysler, GM, and Ford C6, 4sd, and 5spd transmissions.

The ATF type "F" is hard to come...

The Singer sewing machine oil that's readily found at stores is very much like the commonly found 3 in 1 oil. I sometimes use these. They seem to work well but I wonder about their corrosion...

Regular ATF, Mercon, or Dexron works great for me and the price is right.
