Actually, Rick's earlier posts were correct when he said the CG should be 7.5 inches. He did mess up on the one just before mine.

My Cermark F-18 and F-16 V3 prop jets both came with air up/air down retracts.

Yes, mounting the assembly to the hot crankcase where it could heat the fuel could definitely be a problem. I'll go with firewall mounting. Thanks..

Uhmm, and? I doubt the firewall vibrates that much less. Vibration doesn't seem to affect needles in carburetors. If your needle becomes a blur, you might consider balancing the prop and spinner. ...

My Cermark gear wouldn't extend when I first installed them due to binding. I had to disassemble them and redo the 90 degree bend in the aluminum plates.
