The mid wing ailerons were an option shown on the plans. I have no idea why anyone would use them. That is the first one I ever saw built that way.

Looks like it was built from Nick Ziroli's plan. If the firewall is 8 3/4" diameter you can get a nice cowl from Precision Fiberglass. C/G is at the leading edge of the bottom wing to 1/2" back.
