RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

If you just bought a new RCGF 45 with the old hub on it they should help you out with it. That is very irresponsible for any RCGF dealer to sell that engine with the old hub.

If I do make a hub I am going to make it myself and I can only make...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

Sorry but I have received no emails. I checked my spam folder but nothing was there. I would have responded to her by now if I had gotten an email. What email address did she use?
I like the look...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

I had pretty much written RCGF off because of the way they do business and I still have. The only reason I bought this engine us because I was getting it new in the box with a new Jtec($90.00 retail)...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

All you have to do is take the hub off and look at it. If it isn't obvious the hub is the same then just measure the inside diameter then measure the outside diameter then subtract.
I have seen...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

If you have a RCGF 45 please replace it soon. It might last forever but it only takes one tragic second for that to change.

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

The little tabs of material are there because the grain of the metal is running across the part making it stronger at the top and botom.
The grain on billet would have been running from back to...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

I sat down today and really studied the hub to see if I could see any of the tell tale signs of it being a casting. It has the signs of being cast. The break shows the "crystal" look you see when you...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

Yikes! I never even considered this might be cast. I didn't even give that a thought because I couldn't imagine anyone would make a hub out of cast aluminum. I don't even want to think about cast...

RE: Warning: RCGF 45 Owners!

The sensor magnet wasn't effected. If you look at the photo you can see another ring below the broken hub flange. That is where the magnet is installed.
There is no fillet at the juncture of the...
