Didnt you just say that your current motor doesnt include the diode as pictured above?
Is it working completely fine without it?

Aussie reccommends we install this diode...

My old motor had a capacitor between the two terminals. A black one with silver band. Apparently its for reducing interference with the tx-rx.

I had to put the audio cable into the line in rather than mic in.

I finally realised why i have not been able to make my FMS work with my 3ch transmitter. I can only use the keyboard and this is really not a good way to practice. From the hstore.com.au webpage:
