I think I would use 5 min. epoxy to fasten to the carbon shaft maybe tuch with sandpaper to rough a bit. Remember you DON"T breath the dust from Carbon Fiber.

The cutter I use to cut FFF and Depron sheet has a 2 1/2 wheel (razor sharp) . FFF can be found at Lowes or HomeDepot or most any building supply stores. The best is Dow but the others can be used....

You should check out the 60" KF wing Blue Baby for an AP. With or without ailerons lots of dihedral . Built from Fan Fold Foam. $33+change for a buldle enough for 15 to 20 planes.
