Just a note showing my progress.
Ralph speedily sent me the manual and with that in hand I found that the turret stepper motor is trash . I am currently looking for one of them.

Ralph had already contacted me when I got home today. Thanks for the tip though- maybe I can get this thing running so I can put away my kid's glue stick! Now all I need is a raster to vector...

You wouldn't have a copy of the 1043GT service manual would you? Trying to get one going that has turret issues.
