RE: Larger Revolver

I flew my 70 inch Revolver this morning. It was the first time it has been in the air in a couple months. What a great...

RE: Larger Revolver

That trim scheme works nice. Great idea.

RE: Larger Revolver

I'm not so sure this would be a good idea on the Revolver. It actually slows down really nice on its own and you can carry a pretty steep angle of attack when landing without stalling. I suspect...

RE: Larger Revolver

I hate it when people try to sell stuff 2nd hand, even if it is new in the box and think they can get retail price for it. The bottom line is that it's not new sitting on a store shelf so they can't...

RE: Larger Revolver

You might be pretty nose-heavy but there is plenty of room in the fuselage to get creative with the servos and batteries. Hopefully the higher wing loading won't foul up the great characteristics of...

RE: Larger Revolver

I've been thinking a lot about how i'd love to have a giant scale Revolver suitable for a gasoline engine. I started a thread/poll: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_9535452/tm.htm

I also...

RE: Larger Revolver

Try an APC 14x8 or Graupner 13.5x8 or 14x7 on the .91 four stroke. All seem to work well and should get the revolver hauling.

RE: Larger Revolver

If they do a giant scale suitable for a 40cc-50cc engine, I will be the first in line to buy. How about one designed around the new OS .55 gas engine?

RE: Larger Revolver

I got in 3 more flights on mine today. Did I mention that I REALLY like this airplane? It just flys no naturally and doesn't seem to want to do anything unusual. I still can't say enough about the...

RE: Larger Revolver

Twist: Very "floaty" due to wide, thick wing, very agile with extremely quick response to stick input, not precise at all, insane roll rate, can land like a blimp practically, somewhat capable of...

RE: Larger Revolver

Anyone else besides me look at the Revolver cowl and thing it sure would be sweet with a twin in it? Maybe an OS FT-120 or the FT-160 that replaced it? The main problem is that those engines weight a...

I flew it 4 times today. It may take a week to wipe the smile off my face.

It needed a couple clicks of left aileron after takeoff...

RE: Larger Revolver

Here are a couple quick cell-phone shots of the finished airplane. It is on the charger right now getting ready for tomorrow. Hopefully there won't be much fog in the morning; I'm anxious to fly it.

RE: Larger Revolver

Mine is pretty much done.

I ran the OS 1.10 tonight. What a sweet engine. It fired right up with just a bump from the starter and purrs like a kitten. It pulls like a clydesdale at full throttle...

RE: Larger Revolver

Mine is almost done. I just need to do the throttle linkage, mount the muffler, cut the cowl and determine where to put the battery for the CG. It looks like perfect flying weather Saturday... cool,...

RE: Larger Revolver

The 1.10 is a 4-stroke. Macs does make a 4-stroke pipe sytem but I want it clean with the smallest openings possible in the cowl and as little as possible hanging outside the airplane.

RE: Larger Revolver

I will admit that I haven't flown the plane yet but taking it out of the box, seeing it and holding in my hands, I cannot imagine a .76 2-stroke not being enough engine for it. You may not be able...

RE: Larger Revolver

Looks like the Keleo Pitts is for inverted mounting so that's not going to work. I'll call Slimline and J-tec, hopefully they have something. If not, I will have to try the OS adapters or build...

RE: Larger Revolver

Well, I was apparently wrong. I just saw that Keleo has a Pitts muffler for the OS 1.10. I'll order one ASAP.

RE: Larger Revolver

Mine arrived today. It looks great, the pictures online really don't do it justice.

I mounted up the OS 1.10 and I'm not sure what to do about that giant muffler. I really don't want it sticking...

RE: Larger Revolver

I just bit the bullet too and ordered one of these with an OS 1.10 4-stroke. It should be fun.

RE: Larger Revolver

a giant scale version would be cool wouldn't it? Maybe something that'd work well with a nice 50cc gasser?
