Don’t connect them in parallel, that would be like having one battery….., Jeti has many switches that can be used for this purpose…and that way you protect both batteries…

I would think painting out of the Mold will have more weight difference...less control round surfaces versus painting flat on a table....but I could be wrong.

I would just use a 3mm/4-40 balllink at the surface.....I know normally a single piece I would use something like you wanted to use....but these CARF arms are very rigid so it would be ok....
