Mine was finished with 3/4 fiber glass cloth, resin, primer, laquor for colors, and clear coat. It all adds up. A wing covered with monokote would cut the weight some. Upper deck was secured with...

The Septor I had in Colorado had a tunnel on the fuse top that was removable. Is this the one that started this thread.
