RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

If you drill a hole in the left side might you run the risk of having the water flow in one side of the rudder and leak out the other side which could reduce over all water flow.

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I went to buy my brother a blue SV27 and noticed at two different LHS that their blue boats had hatch covers that were a noticeably darker shade of blue than the hull. Has anyone else experienced...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Man, if I had to just buy half of the stuff he suggests and do half the things he says to properly balance, sharpen and polish a metal prop, I think I'd rather pay someone to do it for me. Now where...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

So you are no longer using the rudder pickup for cooling and using that same line routed to the pickup mounted to the side of your trim tabs...

What brand/model of prop balancer are you...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

How are people's stock props holding up. Not sure if I have floating rocks in my pond but my prop is literally disentegrating a little bit each run. Got to go with something metal or carbon as this...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

A slightly variation in interpretation. If you run 14 cell 4200 mah (16.8V) packs and 12 cell 4200 packs (14.4V), and run at the same speeds because of space constrictions (i.e. pond size or course...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Interesting. As I think it through, putting the trim tabs down will force the bow down (and presumably added control) but will still cause more of the hull to come in contact with the water...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Back in action today. Servo, motor and radio survived yesterday's immersion so I am totally psyched! Yesterday's immersion happened just before I checked my mail to find my new high capacity...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

My SV took a swim today and got water in the radio box. Its drying out now. What are the chances the servo, batteries and radio will work tomorrow?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

The question would then be which one as he has several. Judging by his website, it appears that the carbon prop options for 3/16" shafts are mostly, if not all, 2 bladers. And the one he ran in his...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

Chipped a blade on my prop today so I am in search of a replacement. Based on what's been posted, the results appear mixed for the X440/3 with some saying its faster than stock and other's saying no...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

That makes sense and is extremely helpful in understanding the difference in performance. Are you able to undo the coupler and regrease the flex cable w/o taking the radio box out like in the manual?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

How frequently are you supposed to clean and regrease the flex cable? I just did mine for the first time after about 4-5 runs.

On similar but different note, after putting everything back...

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I am still trying to decide if I should buy a 4000+ amp 7 cell flat pack. Flat out speed aside, how does the boat handle with 7 cells flat compared to 6 cells flat?

RE: Super Tune Your Super Vee 27

I thought the SV27 ESC was rated for 45 amps; wouldn't 120 amps fry it? Did you have to add a Lipo cutoff?
