So 1 reason is I wanted some cheaper slower pattern plane experience before I flew the BA. In the mean time I was flying 100cc Yaks. etc, easy to fly, big and stable. Not having any Kaos' or...

Bruce, I have not. She stills hangs in my build room awaiting that day. My plan was to fly a less risky classic pattern plane for awhile then get the BA in the air but that hasn't happened. I have...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Thanks David. I don't post like I used to, my interests have narrowed a lot. Running a SF in another plane, going to try running the pumped version in my BA very soon. That is all she needs to be...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

About to post on another thread when I noticed it would be my 5000th post. Had to stop and put it here. Need to fly this plane someday.

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Bruce, thanks, haven't forgot about you. It's been a banner year for my business so my flying has been minimal. I think I need to pull the engine one more time to check the fuel lines and then it's...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Mike, the heat worked perfectly. The aileron is holding straight at the moment. Thanks so much for the great tip. I have the pinched fuel line issue solved as well so maybe I can fire the engine...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Bryan, I might try the needle holes after I try the heat idea. I'm not worried about long term. A few flights and I would probably retire her anyway. Thanks.

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Mike, thanks. I've already reverse twisted the aileron and wedged wood to hold the aileron overnite. That didn't work but I will add heat to the idea and see what happens.

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Not a bad idea, I used to have a small roll of carbon fiber strip. I could slide a long strip in the crack as well as epoxy.

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Mobileraptor, I have 2 issues holding up the maiden flight. The easier one is a pinched fuel line. I had to pull the engine and am working on rerouting the fuel lines. The engine being pumped...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Whoops, sorry Don, thanks for the compliment. Mark, thanks to you as well. I have no idea when the small details will be finalized to allow a maiden. My guess is a month but then I start to worry...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Don, I think the fiberglass version is a Speeda. Check out 8178's Speeda thread towards the end and you will see the 2 together.

RE: Another Blue Angel build

Mike, haven't gotten that far yet. Getting the battery permanently mounted deep in the fuse has been tough this morning. Quite a challenge. Getting a lite ply plate over the battery and glued is...

RE: Another Blue Angel build

I wondered about that but it was Mike's (8178) suggestion that got me started on that idea. I may not have ordered what he did as I only have the Hanno set. Thanks. The plane is balanced now...
