Yeah I run 12 cells, in the regular batt tray. I hit 36.9 with the m445 before on loser water, since it was over 2 mph slower then the x447 now I am sure to be able to scratch the 38 with the x447...

The props of choice right now seem to be an Octura x642, x445 or m445 (which Irun and am very happ with) Prather 220 for best hole-shot and top speed, as for same as stock performance go with anx440,...

exactly, however the pickup is too long, bit it is soft plastic, just take a sharp knife and cut it to length.

Just take a look at how far these pickups reach below the bottom of the hull:

At this point I have not tried to adjust the strut. I understand that the adjustment is minimal, pretty much just the range the play in the screws allows. Mine ran 33.6MpH right out of the box...

Don't drill directly into the glass, tape the spot and mark it on there, then drill or you run the risk of breaking out large junks of your paintwork.

hmmm, scuffing the bottom should have more effect on lighter/smaller hulls then on heavier/larger boats, if at all measurable. The friction from watertension does not have a real measurable effect...

sounds to me like you are porpoising, add some tabs (bend them down a degree) should help.

This boat is awesome. It is RTR, you only need tweaking if you want to push the top speed.

Now from a real life boater for decades perspective. You cannot have top top speed with a surface...
