RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I flew 6 flights in my Twist today. Wind was up to 15 mph in gusts. I just have an Evo .46 in mine and it flies great with this engine.
The last flight was the best. Sun starting to disappear,...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Dan_no, I measured my CG directly from the LE with the wing bolted on the fuse. Right beside the fuse, I measured back 4 and 5 inches.
Made two marks (on masking tape) and then just used my two...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Dan-no, the Evo .46 is a good engine on the Twist. I haven't hovered yet but you may need a tad past half throttle to do it. One thing on the Evo, take that stupid ring off of the low end needle...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

One thing I must say on my Twist, even though I have added almost 6 ounces up front to balance it at between 4 and 4 1/2 inches from LE, the darn thing just takes off with not a lot ground speed. ...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Have a half dozen flights on mine so far. Evo .46 tugs mine along. Full throttle and this thing moves on out!!! Phew...and you guys are using larger engines? Anyways, I have only looped and...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

My canopy, I just used a light coat of 30 minute epoxy. After marking where the canopy fits, I roughed up the surface a bit and glued it in.
Works fine!
Maidened mine tonite! With almost the...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I have a new Evo .46 in mine. I had to add about 6 ounces to get it to balance between 4 and 5 inches. I followed the directions
on where the engine mounts. It comes out way tail heavy. I'm...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Backwing, how did yours fly with the .46 LA in it? I'm sure you could shoot it like a rocket in verticle but were you able to do nice snappy rolls etc.?

Dave...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I'm hoping I don't kill mine yet!!! Haven't flown it yet but I set the throws at about 50%. I had to add weight up front to balance at around the 4 1/2...4 3/8 mark. I have an Evo .46 up front...
