RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Would anyone be interested in a PNP of this plane? I am thinking about selling mine whole (minus the radio) because I am fed up with the thing. I can fly just fine, I have other birds, but without...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Markind, I am in the same boat as you, weather-wise (15 deg F today!!!). As soon as it get to a reasonable flying temperature, I will get this bird back in the air for a check-flight as it will be...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I couldn't do anything about the problem...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

On the front landing gear bracket, can I get away with using three screws to hold it on? I can't get a blind nut into the bottom hole under the throttle linkage.

I am about to just go with it,...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Markind:

How much of an improvement was Dubro #152? I already ordered some replacement brackets from the LHS that are stock. My thought was better for that to break than the bulkhead.

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Glad that it shows up the sim, that means the model is pretty accurate.

I am currently working on a way to mitigate the roll mode, I think a gyro is the best solution, turn it on for landing and...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

One cause for your crash may be this: The Raptor at low speeds has a fun little roll mode that starts. I have figured it out, so I expect it, and can deal with it. But its there, and you need to...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

All I'm saying is either quality has improved overall, or I got better parts. But at my altitude, I should have seen something bad that others saw.

It's probably better quality, but I am using...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

I maidened mine yesterday at 6000 ft of actual altitude, higher density altitude cause it was so hot.

Took off great, a little long. Flew great, nice and level, very high. Landed great,...

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

Thanks Boomer. I have an assortment of props that I can pick from, I will take those with me, and see what happens when I kick the tires and light the fires (sorry, had to get a top gun reference).

RE: Hangar 9 F-22 Raptor PTS

So just out of curiosity, I am at about 5500' of pressure altitude, probably higher density altitude (stupid Denver heat). It will be a real test, anyone got any tips on a prop to go with the stock...
