Yea I think they are there for air flow, but as long as they are fuel proofed, we should be fine, mine are wide open and have not seen any fuel issues yet.

If you are referring to the hole that the fuel lines go through in the firewall, I would say no, not necessary. I have not covered any holes
in my firewall, and have not noticed any fuel residue...

If you take a look in the Futaba radio manual, they do specify how the antenna should be layed out. I run my Large revo with the 10C 2.4, have the "bare ends" of the antennas at 90...

Curious to know if he is still running the 2-56 control rods ? or have they been changed out to 4-40 rods?
