Many people have had good luck with the chinese tigres, but I'm not convinced. Its not to say they're bad, but I trust the italian engines. My S29 and S90K have been good engines once well broke...

The Super Tigre carbs dont have the same issue as many other carbs in regards to the low speed needle getting mashed into the spraybar. Both needles point at one another in the spraybar.

Your carburetor settings can't be right. Chances are the engine is still breaking in; figure 1 gallon plus before it will throttle nicely. If the engine was not broken in on the bench at WOT only...

It needs more break-in time. If it will not idle lower than 4000rpm reliably, it needs to loosen up a little more. If it were me, I'd put a prop with 1" smaller diameter than the prop you would fly...

The idle needle should be visible less than 1/2 way across the cats eye. This will require starting the engine at part throttle. 2-3 turns of the main needle will get it going. Get the engine hot...
