RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Tim,

Do I need that lil board on the stock battery, or can I install the new batts without that set up?

I noticed I cant use my field charger on them thru the stock charger except my F-16....

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

If you have one, then great.. if not , then the money you would spend, you might as well get an AC/DC charger.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

What I did was cut the lead from the TX and used it as an adapter to my field charger which I charge all my stuff with bullet connectors.. I just put the stock plus with leads with bullets on the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Well, the 135 is about the same size as the riverwater 100 in the AA already. The 100 he sells is a lot smaller, but more efficient.

I have 2 planes with his batts and they fly better than...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Ok, I wasn't sure if it was part of a voltage regulator, or esc circuitry. My batt wasn't swollen, but it was no longer charging... now, is it possible that caused my prob? the lil circuitboard?...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Hi Tim,

Well... I tried charging my power hawk from the lipo charger, and the tx's.. and no matter what it gets a 30-45 sec flight, then cuts off. I can surely say the battery has taken a dump...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Yes indeedie!!:D These are quite the bang for the buck! My personal favorites are my Acro-Jet and my Hyper-Hawk bipe. Maybe it's just mine in particular, but they are the best of my lil fleet. My...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

My new Havoc did that.. suddenly it was dead.. wouldnt charge... I'm suspecting the ESC cause I used a VOM and found the batt was fine.

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

I think Tim has a good Idea with 2 systems.. 2 on the same channel sould work as one system almost like the redundant systems with 2 RX's. I'm thinking of doing a big bomber, or carrier plane...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

That's a pretty plane there.. looks like a floater.

has anyone tried doing a multi motor plane like 4x instead of 2x? would I be able to wire in 2 more safely without overloading the...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Well, the TX chargers don't put out the full potential that you should, and could be charging the batt. So most likely you are fine. Lipos get hot and swell, or blow if charged too fast, or high....

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Usually when you reverse props, you slow down quite a bit. You get much less thrust... The F-16 is easy.. just 3x faster than the AA's.

That's 1 method of taming a plane as far as speed. I did...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

It's not harder to fly. It's much faster, and turns wider. The main drawback is the ni-mh run out fast, and the throttle is always on. It glides like a flight box when the motors die out, but it is...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

What's happening is the charging light stays on soo long! Now, if I unplug the plane, it goes out. It seems like the battery is charging a lot longer than normal... Did that sound better? It's like...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

Well, I'm not sure exactly why either. That's why I threw it out there for you, or anyone else to ponder... Why would my plane suddenly not shut off on the charge? The batts are fresh, and every...

RE: Air Hogs Aero Ace!

hmmm... I didn't know that. I've had a few of these AA's from all channels be hit and miss. Regardless of the channels. B and C.. B mostly, but I think it was just my odds that I had a flop. I love...
